Mel Tschinkel

A lifelong choral singer, Mel Tschinkel holds a BS in Music Education from Hofstra University and has been teaching piano for over 20 years. While she spends her days working full-time in health insurance leadership, her true passion lies at the intersection of music and Dementia. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Mel combines her musical background with her love for helping others. She created a choral program for seniors and facilitates two interactive music classes for Dementia at local memory care communities. When she isn’t singing with eVoco, you can find Mel making music with seniors. In her free time, Mel enjoys mind-body practices and improvising songs about her four pets.
